Made from the largest-headed roses, these beautiful petals are soft, natural, biodegradable and keep all their curves and colour. What they don't do is wilt, become soggy or go brown! As to the colours available, we now freeze-dry our own petals, so as well as all those shades opposite, a bespoke colour service is now available. So, if you want your rose petals to be the exact same variety as those in your bouquet, then providing we have at least 3 months notice, we can do this. As a process, freeze-drying removes all the moisture from the petals, but retains the original size, subtlety of colour shading and natural look. Once they have been taken out of the freeze-drying machine, they have a shelf-life of around 4 months, but to ensure you receive them in good time, order them 6 to 8 weeks prior to the event/Big Day. Of course, if you have less time than this, then it is best to ring us direct on our customer services number 0845 362 7723, and we will do our very best to complete your order in time, we haven't missed one yet! When you receive your petals, keep them out of direct sunlight in a dry room and later, if you want them to be a bit softer, then leave them in a steamy bathroom for a day before using them. They will re-absorb some of the moisture from the air and plump back up. These petals are not “First quality” because they are either marked, torn or crinkly and so they would not be suitable for use as throwing confetti or to sprinkle on tables. However, if you want to use rose petals showered over a path – then these are fine – particularly as you are going to be walking on them! They come in a large bag which contains approx 25 handfuls in a mix of colours – which cannot be specified but will include creams, yellows, pinks, reds, burgundies, lilacs etc. As with all Freeze-dried rose petals , these will still need ordering close to the date of your celebration.
